MISSION STATEMENT
ElevATE's mission is to serve our semiconductor and system test customers by providing world class test integrated circuits (ICs) that address the industry’s most complex ATE challenges. We strive to exceed our customer’s expectations, now and well into the future, through designing the lowest power/highest density solutions, with the goal of providing the lowest possible cost of test.

Jan Gaudestad
Jan Gaudestad is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ElevATE Semiconductor, a fabless semiconductor company based in San Diego, California, specializing in the development of integrated circuits for the Automated Test Equipment (ATE) industry. His journey with ElevATE began in 2018, when he played a pivotal role in the company’s acquisition by private equity firm Presidio Investors, serving as an independent board member until his appointment as CEO in April 2024.
Prior to leading ElevATE, Jan spent six years as Vice President of Business Development at Wooptix, a Canary Islands, Spain-based company pioneering inline semiconductor optical metrology solutions. During his tenure, he was instrumental in securing strategic venture funding from TEL Venture Capital, the investment arm of semiconductor equipment maker Tokyo Electron. Before Wooptix, he held a business development role at a Silicon Valley virtual reality technology startup, and earlier, he managed strategic accounts for motion sensors at InvenSense/TDK, working closely with major mobile phone manufacturers.
Jan’s career began in 2001 when he transitioned his graduate research project from the University of Maryland’s Physics Department to Neocera, a deep-tech company specializing in high-temperature superconductors and backed by Intel Capital. His research led to the development of a commercial semiconductor fault isolation tool, which was later adopted by major semiconductor manufacturers. Over 14 years at Neocera, he led global sales, business development, and applications development, helping to commercialize cutting-edge semiconductor failure analysis equipment solutions.
Academically, Jan holds an MBA with a focus on finance from Santa Clara University (2009). He earned dual master’s degrees in physics—one from the University of Maryland, College Park (2001) and another from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway (2000) both focused on superconductivity.
With a deep technical background and extensive leadership experience in semiconductors, metrology, and emerging technologies, Jan continues to drive innovation and strategic growth in the semiconductor industry.

Marzio Pedrali-Noy
Marzio Pedrali-Noy is the Vice President of Engineering at ElevATE Semiconductor, bringing over 25 years of engineering experience.
He began his career at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as an IC Designer before joining Qualcomm, where he spent 24 years advancing from Mixed Signal Designer to Senior Director of Mixed Signal Engineering. At Qualcomm, he completed more than 100 tapeouts and played a key role in developing and scaling high-performance mixed-signal solutions for complex systems-on-chip (SoCs). Marzio has been deeply involved in analog/mixed-signal tool evaluation, IP integration, and foundry engagement. He has led cross-functional teams across multiple geographies, overseeing design flows, IP customization, test chip enablement, and high-volume production readiness. His expertise spans CMOS process integration, EDA system setup, and implementing Jira-based execution tracking for engineering milestones.
He earned his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) from the University of Pavia in Italy. Notable highlights include serving as design lead for timing circuits and embedded LDOs in mobile station modems, delivering advanced PLL, DLL, and LDO solutions for baseband integration. He also led mixed-signal Jira development tracking, enabling real-time health indicators and streamlined collaboration across program management and application engineering teams.

Tim Bakken
Dr. Tim Bakken is the Vice President of Global Sales, Applications, and Marketing at ElevATE Semiconductor. With over twodecadestwo decades in the semiconductor industry, Tim has held senior roles in engineering, applications, and global sales.
He began his career in analog design at Teradyne and IMC Semiconductor before moving into customer-facing roles that combined his technical expertise with a focus on client success. Tim then spent nine years at Texas Instruments, leading applications engineering for its analog and embedded processing business units and building field teams that supported customers across North America. After, Tim joined Samsung Semiconductor as Director of Northwest Sales, directing strategic accounts and expanding design wins across consumer electronics and high-performance compute markets.
Tim holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California. His technical depth and commercial leadership continue to guide ElevATE’s sales strategy and customer engagement across key global markets.

Anil Kodali
Dr. Anil Kodali is the Head of Quality Assurance at ElevATE Semiconductor. He leads global supply chain operations, overseeing strategy and end-to-end execution of manufacturing and test, and manages an engineering team focused on product quality and process technology challenges.
Before joining ElevATE, he held technical and leadership roles in quality assurance and process development at Intel and Tower Semiconductor, contributing 12 years to optimizing semiconductor manufacturing and quality systems. Previously, Anil was Senior Director of Quality at ElevATE, responsible for building quality systems, addressing customer issues, and improving yields. His leadership has helped develop scalable, reliable processes across production.
Anil earned his Bachelor of Technology from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and his Master of Science and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. During graduate studies, he authored multiple research articles and received the 2010 Tomas B. Hirschfeld Scholar Award for contributions to spectroscopy research.

Jesse Elder
Jesse Elder is the Vice President of Finance at ElevATE Semiconductor, leading finance, accounting, tax, and treasury functions with over two decades of semiconductor industry experience.
He began his career as a CPA at Moss Adams in 2001, later serving as Director of Corporate Accounting and M&A at NextWave Broadband. In 2009, he joined Qualcomm, where over 15 years he played a central role in financial planning, global accounting operations, scaling business systems, and integrating several major acquisitions, growing into a Director of Finance role.
Jesse holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from San Diego State University and maintains his CPA license in California. At ElevATE, he applies a rigorous, analytically driven approach to financial leadership that supports strategic and operational goals.

Sue Huynh
Sue Huynh is the Human Resources Director at ElevATE Semiconductor, leading leadership and management effectiveness, organizational development, compensation and benefits, and culture-building initiatives.
She brings over 20 years of HR leadership experience across semiconductor, technology, and engineering industries. Prior to ElevATE, she served in HR positions at United Technologies, Hewlett Packard, and AT&T, building high-performing teams, implementing scalable systems, and driving initiatives in talent retention and culture transformation. Her experience spans startup and enterprise environments, enabling her to support companies through rapid change and expansion.
Sue holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Utah and a Master of Arts in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities. At ElevATE, she combines strategic vision with an empathetic approach to ensure people and culture remain central to growth.

Patrick Sullivan
Patrick Sullivan is the Chief Technology Officer at ElevATE Semiconductor, with nearly 30 years in analog IC development for automated test equipment (ATE) applications. His career is defined by technical innovation, entrepreneurship, and deep expertise in high-performance analog design.
He designed analog ICs at Brooktree, Semtech, and Intersil, gaining a reputation for precision analog solutions tailored for ATE systems and co-founded Edge Semiconductor and Planet ATE, playing key roles in technical direction and business growth. At ElevATE, Patrick leads the analog design team in delivering high-speed, low-power analog front-end solutions for evolving semiconductor test markets. His expertise includes high-voltage analog design, mixed-signal architecture, and integrated driver and comparator technologies. He also serves on the board of directors at IQ Analog, supporting next-generation signal processing technology.
Patrick holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and his vision and expertise continue to guide ElevATE toward groundbreaking innovations, ensuring our technology stays ahead of the industry curve.

Treasa Hlaing
Treasa Hlaing is the Executive Program Manager at ElevATE Semiconductor, with over a decade of technical and program leadership experience in the wireless and semiconductor industries.
In 11 years at Qualcomm, she advanced from Senior RF Hardware System Engineer to Program Manager, contributing to premium-tier 4G and 5G mobile device development and leading chipset programs for mobile and broadband applications. Her work included RF front-end design, 3GPP standards expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and executive-level program reviews.
Treasa holds an Executive MBA from the University of California San Diego’s Rady School of Management, a Master of Science in RF & Electromagnetics, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University. At ElevATE, she oversees premium and value-tier chipset

Josef Auboeck
Josef Auboeck brings more than a decade of leadership in middle-market private equity to the ElevATE board. As Managing Director at Presidio Investors since 2013, he leads growth-oriented, operational transformation investments and serves on multiple portfolio boards, including ElevATE. Previously, he specialized in financial and operational restructuring at KPMG, executing turnarounds and performance improvement projects in the technology and energy sectors across Austria, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. Josef holds an MBA from UC Berkeley as well as a bachelor's in business administration from the Vienna University of Business Administration and Economics.

Chris Puscasi
Chris Puscasiu brings more than two decades of experience as an investor, operator, and entrepreneur to the ElevATE board. As Managing Partner at Presidio Investors, he focuses on growth-oriented investments in the technology and services sectors. Previously, Chris held senior leadership roles at CDPQ, EQT Partners, and Prides Capital, and began his career with Blum Capital, AEA Investors, and Bain & Company. He also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at UC Berkeley, teaching courses in entrepreneurship, private equity, and finance. Chris holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley and an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.

John Docherty
John boasts an impressive 40+ years in the semiconductor industry, including holding key Senior Executive positions at AMD Global Operations and Global Foundries. He has lived and worked in various parts of the world, including Europe, Asia, Canada, and the United States. was most recently the Chairman of a privately held Singapore automation company. He currently spends his time as a member of the Global ECP advisory group and the UK-based Techworks board.

Isaura Igaeta
Isaura Gaeta brings over 40 years of global technology experience, encompassing general management, manufacturing, product scaling, and risk management in the semiconductor sector. She recently retired from Intel Corporation, where she drove multi-billion-dollar R&D product investments and served as Head of Operations for the 25,000-member Platform Engineering Group. Isaura has received the prestigious Intel Achievement Award five times. Isaura serves on the board of Stearns Bank, N.A., and chairs the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley. She holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Heather Kirkby
Heather Kirkby brings over 25 years of global leadership experience across technology and life sciences. She has held significant roles at Intuit and Siebel (acquired by Oracle), with strong roots as a Product Leader and most recently as Chief People Officer for Recursion Pharmaceuticals, a $2 billion-dollar public startup leading the tech-enabled drug discovery industry. Heather’s achievements have been recognized with numerous accolades, including Intuit’s prestigious CEO Leadership Award in 2017, Women Tech Council Leadership Finalist in 2020, and an MBA from Harvard University.
