ElevATE Semiconductor is looking for a Test Engineer to join our growing team in San Diego and be a key player in delivering the benefits of optimized test solutions, while improving the flexibility and fungibility of test capacity.

The devices developed by ElevATE are complex analog devices (large analog, small digital content). ElevATE’s test ecosystem has a mixed footprint of test platforms, and product insertion approaches.  We have a strategic plan and improvement roadmap to unify, automate, and improve our testing approaches for yield, cost, and throughput gains. The new Test Engineer will play a central role in driving the execution of this roadmap through test program optimization activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Own test programs on products in production phase of their life cycle
• Own production test issues, and disposition activities
• Drive test program optimization activities to improve quality, reduce test times, and costs
• Own the strategic roadmap to replicate and transition test programs from older manual test systems to Teradyne Ultraflex and Chroma 3180 Handler test cell configuration
• Own development and execution of production test floor controls and procedures
• Transfer and qualify test programs across third party test providers
• Work with vendors for load boards and sockets development for new devices

Experience Required

• Minimum Requirement of B.S.E.E. with 3+ years’ of direct Test Engineering experience
• Experience in complex Analog test development, and mixed signal background for ADC, DAC, PLL
• Programming experience in C, C++, VBT,  Linux, Unix environments. Familiarity with Scripting languages like PERL, AWK to parse data logs and formatting
• General knowledge on Test Correlation, GRR and NPI Flow
• Test Program Version Control in SVN Repository or GIT
• Experience with large scale ATE platforms like Teradyne Ultraflex (preferred), and/or Verigy Pinscale / Smartscale

Salary Range: $100,000- $200,000
