San Diego, CA – February 21, 2023 – Elevate Semiconductor, the go-to designer and manufacturer of ICs for the semiconductor test industry, has welcomed a new addition to its Board of Directors, the renowned industry veteran John Docherty.

Mr. Docherty boasts an impressive 40+ years in the semiconductor industry, including holding key Senior Executive positions at AMD Global Operations and Global Foundries. He has lived and worked in various parts of the world, including Europe, Asia, Canada, and the United States.

Elevate Semiconductor’s CEO, David Kenyon, expressed his excitement about the new board member, saying, “We’re thrilled to have John join our team. With his experience, he will bring a wealth of knowledge and guidance that will help Elevate Semiconductor push further to the forefront of the semiconductor industry.”

Mr. Docherty was most recently the Chairman of a privately held Singapore automation company. He currently spends his time as a member of the Global ECP advisory group and the UK-based Techworks board while genuinely helping his friends with business problems.

Our focus has always been on making our customers successful, by providing the highest quality/highest density test ICs in the industry, as well as the best support. Given the evolving COVID-19 situation, many have asked about ELEVATE’s order fulfillment capabilities, so we wanted to give you an update such that that you may plan accordingly.

ELEVATE has long had a business continuity plan (BCP) in place to handle unforeseeable situations, such as the one we are experiencing with COVID-19. As such, ELEVATE has invested to minimize customer disruptions, holding more inventory than a large public company would, across our product portfolio.

These investments will minimize disruptions, but not completely eliminate them.  We have seen delays in certain areas of the supply chain, but we can assure you that we have product on hand, and on order (well before this situation occurred), to address many of these slowdowns.  New products such as Mystery and Whitney are being produced, tested and packaged now, and work continues on all products currently in development. 

Standard lead time for orders is 8 weeks, but expedited shipping inside of that period is available for a nominal charge.  We ask all customers who are able to provide a forward-looking, non-binding forecast which allows us to better plan our supply and notify you of any issues well in advance.

In mid August this year, Elevate went through a leadership change.  Patrick Sullivan founder and CEO moved into the CTO role.  In this position, Patrick is well-equipped to set a new technology direction for the company, build out the next 3 year roadmap, and assist in bringing new development tools and methodologies to the company.  David moves from the head of Sales and Marketing into the CEO role, and brings his 20 year business career in sales, finance, operations, and marketing to bear as well as his broader semiconductor industry experience.  Patrick and David are both laser-focused on the same goal – to make Elevate the leading provider of ICs into the ATE market!
